Happenings This Sunday, April, 26, 2015

“What a Fellowship, What a Joy Divine”
The Philippian church was a good church, a healthy church, and a joyful church. And one of the reasons was because they had a strong sense of fellowship. Biblical fellowship builds up a church, makes a church effective and thereby joyful. This Sunday, April 26th at Hebron Baptist Church we will be exploring what biblical fellowship looks like from the book of Philippians and the difference that it can make in our lives. Come join us for worship at 10:00 a.m. and come early at 8:45 for meaningful Bible study for all ages. Not sure where to go, drop by the Welcome Center in our new sanctuary. Our “One Way Singers” (Student Choir) will also be leading us in our time of worship. See you Sunday! We’ll have the coffee waiting for you.

"Finding Joy in the Journey"

But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus” (Phil. 3:13b-14). Even though Paul was serious about finishing well as a Christian, he never lost the joy of the journey of faith. What Paul says in Philippians 3:12-21 helps us understand why. We invite you to join us at Hebron this Sunday for worship and find joy in your journey too!

"A Theology of the Christian Life," This Sunday, April 12th!

“A Theology of the Christian Life”

How is a person made right with God? And what does the Christian like look like? How do the righteous live? In Philippians 3:7-11, Paul provided a brief theological summary of his experience of salvation. He exposed the false gospel of legalism and encouraged the Philippians to live out the Christian life of grace to its fullest.

This Sunday, April 12th at Hebron Baptist Church we will explore the practical aspects of how we are made righteous by God and what that looks like in our daily lives. If you don’t have a church home, we would love to have you join us. Worship begins at 10:00 a.m. We’ll have the coffee waiting for you!

"Will We Live Again?"

"If someone dies, will they live again?" Job 14:14a

Enrolled in the school of suffering and struggling to find meaning to his existence, Job reflected much on the great question of life, “If someone dies, will they live again?” (John 14:14a). Although not a fully enlightened understanding of the resurrection, Job expressed a future hope, “I will wait for my renewal to come” (14:14b). That dim hope has now been brought fully to the light of day in Jesus Christ “who has destroyed death and has brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (1 Tim. 1:9b-10).

We invite you to join us at Hebron Baptist Church on Easter Sunday as we explore the question, “Will We Live Again?” from the book of Job, informed by the crucial historical event of the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Looking forward to a great day as we worship our wonderful God and Savior, “Christ the Lord Is Risen Today, Alleluia!”
