Becoming a Person of Joy

You can become a more joyful person! This is the day that the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it” (Psalm 118:24, ESV). The Psalmist does not say “Yesterday was God’s day – how happy I was then.” Nor does he say, “Tomorrow will be the day that I will be joyful – I’ll just endure until then.” This day with all of its shortcomings and struggles is the day to rejoice in. If we are going to know joy, it must be in this day -- today!

Struggling with joy? With the backdrop of the dedication of the wall of Jerusalem in Nehemiah chapter 12 as our text, we will be exploring in our worship service this Sunday, "The Practice of Celebration." I hope you'll join us and bring a friend with you. Worship begins at 10:30 a.m. and we have small group studies for all ages beginning at 9:15 a.m. All are welcomed at Carrollwood Baptist Church.
